LabelCheck requires access to your device’s camera to:
Scan barcodes
Capture ingredient labels
Important:
Camera images are processed temporarily (ephemerally) to analyze product information
Images are not stored, saved, or shared after processing
All scans (barcode or ingredient images) are processed in real-time
Data is used only to generate results (Clean, Safe, Match, nutrition facts)
Processing is ephemeral, meaning:
Data is used temporarily
It is discarded immediately after analysis
We do not build user profiles or track behavior across sessions.
LabelCheck stores data locally on your device only, including:
User preferences (diet, allergens, lifestyle)
Scan history
Cached product data
We do not store personal data on external servers.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties.
You have full control over your data at all times:
You can reset and delete all stored data within the app
You can request assistance with deletion via email
Data remains on your device until you delete it
Once deleted, it is permanently removed
No backups or copies are retained by LabelCheck
